Stop Child Labor in Afghanistan

Stop Child Labor in Afghanistan – If you are reading this message, you are part of the solution. Please donate today. International Orphan Care (IOC) requests donations to support and expand already-existing programs in Afghanistan to break the cycle of poverty and indentured servitude by child laborers. To implement the program, IOC is asking you to sponsor a child. The cost of vocational education for a child is $25 per month.

The sponsorship funds can also provide a stipend to compensate the family of the child for the loss of income from the brick factory while the child is attending school. The loss of income to the family when the child is studying at school rather than working is $40 per month.

IOC’s on-site Director has personally toured the area known as the Surkh (Red) Rod District. There he witnessed entire groups of families that are working at brick factories to keep up with loan payments ranging from $50 to $100 per month.

Project Details

Our goal is to provide 1,200 needy families in Afghanistan with food for one month so they can quarantine at home rather than go out to search for work and possibly be exposed to the Corona Virus.

You can help us today to achieve our goal with a donation of any amount. We suggest a donation of $100 to provide a family of eight with food for one month.

I am giving up one meal per day for 30 days. I estimate the cost of my one meal to be $3.33. The total for one month is $100. I have donated $100 to provide food for one month for a needy Afghan family of eight. I challenge you to give up one meal a day for 30 days, donate any amount you can to this cause, post a video on your Facebook and share with your Facebook friends. Ask your friends to do the same personal sacrifice for one month.
